ALAF APP DEMO
Testing the prototype
Once the prototype is completed user testing is carried out by volunteers to identify any problems that were overlooked or yet to be discovered in the previous stages. Volunteers used the prototype as if they are using the actual app, and given the objective, the volunteer must navigate through the app to reach the given target.
Feedback
These are key highlights of the feedback from the volunteers:
They were impressed by the layout of the design.
They were satisfied with the overall experience. Navigating through the app is easy.
Conclusion
Based on the interviews with participants and researchers, I have devised a definite pattern. It symbolizes the target users of this app, and it fits into their lifestyle and schedule.
This project gave me an understanding of how difficult it is to introduce a new feature into an app design. The touch points one needs to consider before changing a small button on a screen.
I have immersed myself in understanding the broad spectrum of design, thinking about the limitations, and asking the right questions.
What can I do better?
Research about the ALAF Scan feature, talk to tech developers, and get more knowledge on how it can be developed as a product.
Usability test of the prototype with users from different areas.
